How to Use Your Cool Teeth Whitening Kit | Official Instructions

Follow these official instructions for the best results, maximum comfort, and safer whitening at home.

  • Short, simple steps
  • Better tray fit = better whitening
  • Use less gel than you think

🦷 Before You Begin

  • Brush and floss before whitening
  • Start with a short test session
  • Use a very small amount of gel

🔥 Step 1 — Mold Your Whitening Trays

Tray Molding Instructions

Water Temperature: 150°F – 160°F (not boiling)

If you don’t have a thermometer:

  • Boil water
  • Remove from heat
  • Wait 6–7 minutes

Molding Steps

  • Heat one tray at a time (8–10 seconds)
  • Insert trays while still hot — they’re designed to absorb heat and won’t burn your gums
  • Suck in air to create a vacuum seal
  • Stretch trays toward your molars with your fingers to thin slightly and improve coverage
  • Hold 5–8 seconds
  • Rinse with cold water to set
  • Trim tab & edges if needed

✔ A well-fit tray keeps gel on teeth and away from gums.

Common Tray Molding Mistakes
  • Using boiling water → trays warp
  • Leaving trays in water too long → loses shape
  • Molding both trays at once → poor fit
  • Not trimming → discomfort & poor seal

💎 Step 2 — Apply Whitening Gel

How to Apply
  • Apply a tiny bead of gel per tooth
  • Front 8–9 teeth only
  • Maximum 0.25 ml per tray

If gel touches your gums:

  • Remove trays
  • Wipe gums
  • Reapply with less gel

⏱ Step 3 — Whitening Time

  • First Session: 2-minute test
  • Regular: up to 15 minutes
  • Wait 24–48 hours between sessions
  • LED light optional
  • Do not whiten while sleeping

🪥 After Whitening

  • Rinse mouth
  • Rinse trays with cold water
  • Avoid coffee, tea, wine & staining foods for 36 hours

⚠️ Safety & Sensitivity

  • For natural teeth only
  • Not for children under 12
  • Do not use if pregnant, nursing, or if you have gum disease or cavities
  • Stop use if sensitivity lasts over 48 hours

💙 Sensitivity Tip

Mild gum or tooth sensitivity is normal and temporary. A remineralization/desensitizing gel may be used after whitening.

❓ Troubleshooting

  • Tray feels loose? Remold
  • Gums irritated? Use less gel & trim trays
  • No whitening? Tray fit or too much gel usually the problem
